QCM Group Building: Gathering Strength to Start a New Chapter of the Company
Preface
On January 10, 2025, QCM held a rich and meaningful group building activity. The activity has united the team strength and laid the foundation for the company to open a new chapter in the future. It was also a rallying call for all staff to go to the appointment. The activity can empower the team members and make everyone more motivated and energetic in their work, thus helping the company's development. The activity was fun and allowed colleagues to relax, share good times and enhance the team's sense of belonging.
Background
The location of this group building was chosen in Longtan Valley, Anxi County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, which is a tourist attraction with beautiful scenery and a variety of entertainment programs. We traveled by 2 buses and arrived at the destination after 1.5 hours of driving. The attraction is on a hill with buildings standing on both sides of the valley. The hills are full of lush trees, making the air exceptionally fresh. The oxygen content in the air here is extremely high, which clears our minds and refreshes our spirits.
Meeting
After arriving at the event venue, we went to the large conference room of the base to make a summary report for 2024 and an overall plan for 2025. Mr. Yang, the company's president, Mr. Chen, the director of the engineering department, Mrs. Zhong, the director of business and operations, and Mrs. Chen, the director of the e-commerce department, took the stage to make reports. The meeting summarized the achievements and completed projects of QCM in 2024, and determined the performance goals for 2025. The company's development direction is still centered on the two major products of Precast concrete magnet (Shuttering Magnet) and Magnetic Shuttering System, supplemented by other accessory products, such as Magnetic Steel Chamfer, Magnetic Thread Disc, Magnetic Recess Former, Electric Box Insert Magnet and Lifting Socket. In 2025, QCM will continue to provide our customers with high-quality precast magnetic products to meet your needs for magnetic components in precast component projects, and make our products a powerful assistant in your precast concrete production.
●Precast concrete magnet (Shuttering Magnet): This series is QCM's key product. It uses high-quality carbon steel as the shell and has built-in high-quality neodymium iron boron magnets, which can make the pull force reach 450 kg - 3000 kg.
●Magnetic Shuttering System: It is used as a side mold for the production of precast concrete wall panels. The built-in magnetic magnet can be firmly attached to the casting table to prevent wet cement from dispersing the frame. This is another main product of QCM. Its length ranges from 500mm - 4000mm, and its height ranges from 60mm - 200mm. There are options without chamfers and with one or two chamfers.
●Magnetic Steel Chamfer: In the production of precast concrete components, exquisite bevels and edges without right angles are often required. The Magnetic Steel Chamfer is designed to form such edges during the casting process.
●Magnetic Thread Disc: It is designed to fix and connect sleeves inserted into concrete. The built-in neodymium magnet can ensure the precise positioning of the insert.
Magnetic Recess Former: It is often used in conjunction with the Lifting Pin Anchor. The magnetic surface is attached to the formwork and then the Magnetic Recess Former is embedded in the concrete to form a recessed area or cavity.
●Electric Box Insert Magnet：It is used to create recesses or cavities in concrete elements (such as walls, floors, or beams) for the installation of electrical boxes or other fixtures.
●Lifting Socket：These sockets are embedded into concrete elements during the casting process and provide a secure attachment point for lifting equipment, such as cranes or lifting slings.
Activities
Some of the aerial playgrounds use steel cables to connect the valleys, and visitors move forward on the tempered glass. In order to experience the adventure and excitement of the high altitude, but also in the high place to look at the beautiful scenery. This program tests your courage. Do you have the guts to challenge and overcome the “bridge” hanging in the air?
Another “Jungle Adventure” program allows visitors to move through obstacles. Instead of tempered glass, the wire rope is covered with small wooden planks, stakes, scrap tires, even a very wobbly circular channel or a thicker wire rope. Of course, the experience will wear protective equipment to protect personal safety. This program lets colleagues know that not all roads are straight, but as long as you are brave to challenge to overcome it, waiting for you is the end of the beautiful scenery and the sense of pride after completing the challenge. In the “Jungle Adventure” program, colleagues can also cooperate with each other to overcome unfavorable environments and uncertainty of the road, so that the spirit of teamwork is brought into play at this moment.
We also experienced many interesting programs, such as air bike, archery, rowing, tug-of-war and so on. These programs brought members closer to each other, and some of the colleagues who usually don't have much contact with each other became closer than before. This is also conducive to better docking and interaction in our future work. The group building makes us know that we should collaborate with each other and talk about team spirit. A tightly united team can often achieve good results, a person's power is small, but the power of many people together is very strong.
Ending
After the evening meal, we danced in a circle by the bonfire, which climaxed the group building activity. We danced and laughed on each other's shoulders, and the firelight shone on everyone's face and warmth rose in our hearts. This is a successful and unforgettable group building, and also draws a successful conclusion for the work of 2024.
